       Contemporary Energy Newsletter

                         Issue 4, December 2013

Season's Greetings to you and welcome to this, the fourth edition of our newsletter. Our primary aim is to keep previous customers in touch with more recent developments in the company. But it will also be of interest anyone who has come across Contemporary Energy for the first time.

If you have had an installation or a solar thermal kit from us, we would love to have photographs from you that we could put in our archive. With permission, we might be able to use them on our website. Testimonials are always very welcome, too.

Do please have a look at all our developments. We would love to have your feedback on the first four issues.

Please let us know what you would like to see in Issue 5 (anticipated April 2014).

Feel free to forward this to anyone else who might be interested in our work

FORUM AND WEBSITE

The forum continues to expand in members and posts. It is currently attracting around 600 visits a day, more than double the figure last April.

We would strongly encourage anyone interested in all matters solar, renewables or energy security, to sign up to our forum and let us (and the wider internet community) hear your views. It would be great to get some discussions on making those on our planet that bit more eco-friendly.

FURTHER EXPANSION OF
OUR PRODUCT RANGE

Sadly, Jim Carroll, who was responsible for marketing the solar kettle, has left us to pursue new interests.

The last newsletter mentioned that we were now selling a large range of solar gadgets and other solar products such as gifts, garden items and even educational toys for the younger family members.

After a spell of frequent power outages, and much media speculation about the security of UK power supplies, we decided to expand our products even further. We now sell a range of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) solutions. For IT you will get enough time to close programs normally and prevent loss of critical data. Our domestic solutions will power essential household items and will bridge most short-term power outages.

Do pay a visit to our UPS home page.

SOLAR MATTERS IN THE NEWS

One of the things I became aware of, after joining Contemporary Energy, was just how many solar related stories appear in the news.

Recent stories added to the forum have included a car being melted by sun's rays reflected from solar panels mounted on the side of a building, and how the public would generally prefer to have solar farms rather than gas fracking.

The best story of all, though, is how one of our solar kettles is being used - on a boat currently racing from France to Brazil!

Do look up these news items. Feel free to add your own favourites to this section.

I have added a section to the forum which deals with issues around the future and stability of the UK power supply system. If you have any concerns please add them to the forum.
