Contemporary Energy Newsletter

Issue 3, September 2013

Welcome to the third edition of our company newsletter. Our primary aim is to keep previous customers in touch with more recent developments in the company. But it will also be of interest anyone who has come across Contemporary Energy for the first time.

If you have had an installation or a solar thermal kit from us, we would love to have photographs from you that we could put in our archive. With permission, we might be able to use them on our website. Testimonials are always very welcome, too.

Do please have a look at all our developments. We would love to have your feedback on the first three issues.
Please let us know what you would like to see in Issue 4 (anticipated December 2013).

Feel free to forward this to anyone else who might be interested in our work

FORUM AND WEBSITE

The forum continues to expand in members and posts. It is currently attracting around 560 visits a day, more than double the figure last April.

We would strongly encourage existing customers to sign up to this forum and let us (and the wider internet community) hear about your experience of your installed system or kit. It would be great to get some discussions on your contribution to making our planet that bit more eco-friendly.

EXPANSION OF OUR
PRODUCT RANGE

We continue to sell our popular, best selling solar thermal kits and Jim Carroll continues to promote our Solar Kettle with customers and suppliers across the world.

However, in a major development for Contemporary Energy, Jim has sourced a large range of solar gadgets and other solar products such as gifts, garden items and even educational toys for the younger family members. You are urged to visit our solar gadget web page to see our current range. There is sure to be something you would like.

Many of the gadgets would make ideal Christmas presents.

SOLAR MATTERS IN THE NEWS

One of the things I became aware of, after joining Contemporary Energy, was just how many solar related stories appear in the news. Some stories relate to the trade and/or politics associated with importing solar goods from China or applications for large scale so-called solar farms.

What interested me the most, however, were the stories about solar research, adoption of solar by organisations such as local authorities, and especially projects that aim to show the potential of solar in a largely sceptical world. Examples of the latter include a solar aeroplane, solar cars (and even a trans-Australia race) and a solar boat.

I have collected my favourites and posted them in our web forum. Do look them up. Feel free to add your favourites to this section.
